Web Checklist:

Grace's Essential Web Checklist:
This is my personal checklist to use before publishing or submitting a website.

1. The website should look credible.
2. The website should not break because of coding errors.
3. Flash should not be used.
4. The site should look the same in each browser.
5. The website must translate well to mobile platforms.
6. The website shouldn't require a specific browser.
7. Important Content should fit on the first screen.
8. Text must be easy to read.
9. The site shouldn't use any moving text.
10. There should be contrast with the foreground and background.

1. A website should be credible and professional. Otherwise, our content isn't portrayed as credible.
2. The website would be unusable if it breaks frequently from coding errors.
3. Flash is rapidly becoming outdated and not usable. It would alienate people whose computers would not run Flash.
4. The site should not be inconsistent between browsers. If it's not, it looks less professional.
5. The internet is becoming increasingly reliant on mobile platforms. Many possible viewers would be turned away without a good mobile layout.
6. A specific browser would alienate certain viewers and drive away traffic.
7. Any important info needs to be displayed on the first screen so that traffic can be hooked immediately.
8. Text should be easy to read so as not to confuse the viewer.
9. Text that moves generally makes the content much harder to read. It should be content over (kinda) quality in this situation.
10. Contrast helps add to aesthetic to the page. It helps it look professional.
