Overview
Since it's the end of the semester, that means finals. Each class is required to have a final and normal tests just don't work for e9. Due to this, our finals were different than other classes. Instead of taking tests, we have been working on making ourselves a website. We started on Friday, December 8th. After finishing and turning in our Challenge 3 projects, we began working.
What did I learn?
To make our website, we didn't work with sites like Weebly.com for help. Instead, we used Adobe Dreamweaver. This was something completely new to me because I had never used this application. We weren't just thrown into this project though, we were given videos to walk us through Dreamweaver and what to do. In the end, I learned the basics of using the software, what the code means, and how to put together a basic website.
How did I do?
Personally, I think I did good on this website. I made sure to check my website several times to make sure links worked. I think I could have stopped more often to save and check my work, because I was afraid that I'd forget to save and lose my work. I also wish I had explored the styles and fonts more, but I just didn't have the time.
In Concluision
I look forward to doing more with web design in my future in e-Communications. Its very interesting and I feel that it challenges me. This project was interesting because I got to learn new things about the software and how to use it. I would like to apply my skills outside of e-Communications too.
